

Roger L. Kemp has been a municipal Chief Executive Officer of politically, economically, educationally, and racially diverse communities in the states of Connecticut, New Jersey, and California during his career in local government. These cities range in size from about 30,000 to over 120,000 in population. Dr. Kemp was appointed as the Practitioner in Residence, Department of Public Management, College of Business, University of New Haven, starting in the academic year -- 2011-12. He was also recently designated as a Distinguished Adjunct Professor in the Executive MPA Program, Ageno School of Business, Golden Gate University, San Francisco. Based upon his educational background, and front-line municipal experience, he performs consulting services in a number of different functional areas related to city and school relationships. The primary consulting services performed by Roger focus on state-of-the-art best practices in the dynamic and evolving field town-gown relations. These best practices are highlighted below.
